Holistic Executive Function Toolkit
Practical strategies, real-life examples, and stress management tools to help families build calm, connection, and follow-through.
If you’ve ever felt like you’re managing 100 moving parts — homework, chores, emotions, schedules — all while trying to keep your own sanity, you’re not alone.
Executive function skills are the foundation of how we plan, focus, regulate emotions, and get things done. When those skills feel shaky (for our kids or ourselves), everything else starts to wobble.
That’s why we created the Holistic Executive Function Toolkit — a practical, family-focused approach to strengthening EF skills at home.

What’s Inside Your Toolkit
Module 1: Goal Setting
Learn how to set goals that actually stick — for you and your kids. We’ll simplify SMART goals into the RAMP model (Reasonable, Actionable, Measurable, Party), then show you how to keep goals visible, consistent, and connected to your family’s values.
Module 2: Self Awareness
Before change can happen, we have to see it. This module introduces the STOP method for building situational awareness and teaches you how to model awareness for your kids. You’ll also explore the power of positive self-talk as a stress management tool.
Module 3: Time Management
Make time visible and take back control of your schedule. Learn how to create after-school routines, use analog clocks and planners effectively, and support your kids in developing realistic time awareness. Includes a breathwork practice to regulate stress and improve focus.

The Holistic Executive Function Toolkit is a self-paced online course designed to help families strengthen executive function skills at home. Through short video lessons, guided reflections, and practical tools, you’ll learn how to improve organization, time management, planning, flexibility, and emotional regulation—for both kids and parents. It’s like having an executive function coach in your pocket, giving you research-backed strategies that actually fit into real family life.
-
This toolkit was created for parents, caregivers, and educators who want to support kids (and themselves) in developing better executive functioning and self-regulation skills. It’s especially helpful for families with ADHD, anxiety, or other neurodivergent traits, but the strategies work for any busy household that wants more structure, less stress, and smoother routines.
-
You can move at your own pace, but most families spend about 30–45 minutes per week watching the videos, using the tools, and practicing new habits. Each module follows our simple four-step process—Learn, Apply, Reflect, Connect—so you can make progress without overwhelm. Many families choose to focus on one module per week or month, allowing time to practice and adjust.
-
Once you purchase the toolkit, you’ll receive a link to create your account. The toolkit is a “Member Area” within this Squarespace website, with multiple pages of resources along with the videos and activities themselves. Once you’re logged in, you can watch the videos and track your progress on any device.
-
Because executive function and emotional regulation are inseparable. When your nervous system is dysregulated, your ability to plan, prioritize, or stay focused drops dramatically. Each module includes a stress-reduction strategy—like mindfulness, breathwork, or positive self-talk—so that you and your child can learn to regulate before you try to problem-solve.
-
Many of the tools are intended to support middle school and high school students. However, the tools can be helpful for parents as well who are learning to improve their executive function skills!
-
You’ll get immediate access to:
3 video-based modules covering key executive function skills: goal setting, self awareness, and time management.
Stress management tools — Including mindfulness, breathwork, and meditation practices).
Reflection and connection prompts to deepen learning and encourage family discussion.
Lifetime access —including future updates as new materials are added!
-
Most executive function courses focus on theory or school-based strategies. The Holistic Executive Function Toolkit takes a whole-family, real-life approach—integrating neuroscience, mindfulness, and systems thinking. It doesn’t just tell you what to do—it shows you how to build sustainable habits, reduce stress, and create routines that actually stick.
Every module includes a stress regulation tool, because supporting the nervous system is key to improving executive function skills.
-
Not at all. While many participants have ADHD, anxiety, or executive function challenges, the skills you’ll learn—like planning, prioritizing, and emotional regulation—benefit everyone. Think of this as family systems coaching meets practical organization training. If you’ve ever said “we just can’t seem to get it together,” this toolkit was made for you.
-
Yes, you’ll have instant access to all modules, but we strongly recommend starting with Module 1: Goal Setting and progressing in order. The modules build on one another—from awareness and planning to flexibility and reflection—mirroring the natural development of executive function skills.

With consistent use, you’ll see more structure, independence, and calm in your home. Families report improvements in routines, transitions, and emotional resilience, as well as a better understanding of how their child’s brain works. The biggest win? Less chaos, more connection, and systems that actually support your family’s values.
